I wore this outfit for my birthday party with friends a few weeks ago. The dress/tunic was a present from my in-laws (via gift card). Since I didn't take a picture that night, I kept it in mind and pulled it together this last Friday. It's a light fabric, and since it wasn't exactly light fabric friendly weather, I layered a wool sweater over it, and tights, knee high socks, and jeans under it.

I think your layered necklaces look great! I read Sal's post on delicate jewelry too and am hoping to get more of my little pieces back into rotation more often.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit I felt I cheated since I just combined 2 necklaces. Next time I'm going to try and match 3!
DeleteI love the colors in that dress! And I like how you layered the necklaces!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's not a colour/pattern palette I usually turn to, but I'm glad I took the chance!
DeleteLove the layered necklaces and it's great you are getting new use out of some of your delicate pieces. Nobody will ever see how pretty they are if they sit in the jewlery box :)
ReplyDeleteExactly my thought! There are pieces I love that don't get enough attention!!
DeleteOooh the tunic is SO cute. I like the layered necklaces too. Glad to hear the new format is working for ya.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention the best part! The tunic has pockets!
DeleteYou are so good at layering for warmth. And I love the idea of wearing precious jewelry more often. It's not meant to be locked away in a drawer where no one sees it!
ReplyDeleteLayering for warmth is necessary - we're not all so lucky to escape the prairie winter!!
DeleteCute, comfy and warm. My three musts right now. You've got it down too. That tunic is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I learned from watching you style tunics!!
