You guys know I love Sheila, right? I think I've linked to her blog a few times over the last month alone. For her birthday, she decided to do a 70s themed party, and invited us all to dress along with her.
Having just finished watching That '70s Show in its entirety, I felt fairly confident I could channel the '70s into a work outfit. Wide at the ankles, fitted at the waist? Easy peasy.
I l♥ved this outfit the minute I put it on. I felt confident traipsing around our building. I strided into the neighbouring room to check on a file, and one of my counterparts in that office said:
"Don't you look artsy! You could be a mime! No! No! You're a beatnik! Ya! Dirty hippy!"
Derp. Not what I was going for. Granted, said counterpart does like to... ruffle my feathers... but nonetheless, it seems my attempts to avoid looking costumey in a 1970s outfit went too far...
